CargoNova ("we", "us", "our") operates the CargoNova platform and the CargoNova Driver mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Location Data
We collect precise GPS location data only when you actively start a trip. This includes:
- Latitude and longitude coordinates
- Speed and direction
- Accuracy radius
- Timestamp of each location point
We do NOT collect location when: You are not on an active trip, you have stopped tracking, or the app is uninstalled.
Account Information
- Name, email, phone number (for company accounts)
- Company name and GSTIN
- Driver name and mobile (for trip assignment)
Trip Information
- Trip routes, status, and timestamps
- Vehicle and driver assignments
- Proof of Delivery photos and signatures
- Customer details for trip generation
Device Information
- Device model and Android version
- App version
- IP address
2. How We Use Your Information
- Track trip routes and progress in real-time
- Calculate distance, speed, and stops
- Detect toll plaza crossings automatically
- Provide trip reports to assigned transporters
- Enable Proof of Delivery documentation
- Send trip status notifications
- Improve platform performance
3. Data Sharing
Your location and trip data is shared with:
- Your assigned transporter/employer - For trip management
- Trip customers - Via secure tracking links (only during active trips)
We DO NOT:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising
- Share with marketing companies
- Provide data to anyone outside your transport company
4. Data Retention
- Trip data: Retained for business records as per applicable law
- GPS location pings: 90 days
- POD photos: As per your transporter's retention policy
- Account data: Until account is deleted
5. Your Rights
- Access: Request your data via support@cargonova.in
- Stop tracking: Anytime using the app's "Stop Tracking" button
- Deletion: Request data deletion via email
- Withdraw consent: Uninstall the app or revoke permissions
- Correction: Update incorrect data through your account

8. Children's Privacy
This service is intended for use by adult commercial truck drivers and transport businesses (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Third-Party Services
We use these services with their own privacy policies:
- Razorpay - Payment processing
- Hostinger - Cloud hosting
- OpenStreetMap - Map display
10. App Distribution
The CargoNova Driver Android app is distributed directly via our website (https://cargonova.in/download). The app:
- Is digitally signed and verified
- Contains no malware or trackers
- Updates are notified through the app
- Can be uninstalled anytime like any other app
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Effective" date will be revised. Material changes will be communicated via app notifications or email.

This service complies with:

- IT Rules 2011 (Reasonable Security Practices)
